RECENT MEETINGS AND PRESENTATIONS
On May 21 WCAN hosted, in collaboration with the Public Policy Forum, its second quarter Focused on Issues events – “The Politics of Water.”  Board member Bill Mielke delivered an informative background presentation on the facts outlined in SEWRPC’s Regional Water Study followed by lively panel discussion around what is at the core of our region’s water supply issue – the politics.  Panelists included:  Milwaukee Alderman Michael Murphy, City of Waukesha Mayor Larry Nelson, former Metropolitan Builder’s Association Executive Director Matt Moroney, and environmental attorney Jodi Habush-Sinykin.

The first quarter WCAN Connects event was held on Feb. 24 at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, s.c.  Check out the PowerPoint slides used by Tom Hefty during his presentation on economic trends impacting Waukesha County and the state.
