ABOUT WCAN
Established in June 2005, WCAN is a private sector, nonprofit civic organization of business and community leaders.
WCAN evaluates unique and broad public policy issues, recommends improvements and drives action toward change. A growing and dynamic organization, WCAN concentrates on focus areas of broad public interest and identifies gaps where resources should be applied.

WCAN shares its research, evaluation and recommendations through quarterly issue forums, member communications, and website information.

VISION
WCAN’s vision is to create a county that collaborates and aligns resources to stay competitive in order to provide a premier quality of life for those who live, work and conduct business in Waukesha County and the region.

MISSION
WCAN facilitates discussion in the community around unique and broad public policy issues, develops solutions, and drives action with the objective of improving the business climate and enhancing the quality of life in Waukesha County and the region.

GETTING RESULTS
WCAN members, top business and community leaders in Waukesha County and the region, contribute financial resources to fund WCAN’s operations and initiatives, including research and resource alignment efforts on issues and trends confronting the Waukesha County community. The board of directors reviews issues that are suggested by members or other community stakeholders.  Annual priorities are determined along with a course of action leading to discussion, collaboration, and results.  All research and analysis is managed by WCAN in partnership with appropriate community resources and with input and review by members, committees and outside experts, as needed. The board of directors determines WCAN's final positions, recommendations and action.
